The 11.7T Bruker Avance wide bore magnet at MagLab's Tallahassee headquarters features a Bruker 2.5-mm triple resonance MAS NMR probe for solid-state NMR spectroscopy and Bruker MR microimaging gradients for MRI, rheoNMR and diffusion experiments.
The system is equipped with a Bruker 2.5mm triple resonance magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR probe capable of spinning samples up to 35 kHz. The system is well suited for MAS NMR on selectively labeled biological molecules, such as synthetic peptides. In addition, the 500 WB is equipped with Bruker Diff30, Micro5, Micro2.5 and Mini0.7 gradients and GREAT 60 gradient amplifiers, making the system capable of performing MR microimaging, diffusion, Rheo NMR and in vivo MRI. A variety of RF coils covering different nuclei are available for imaging and diffusion experiments.
