Acoustic Impedance in High B/T

For highly attenuating materials, transmission measurement is difficult to use. We offer an acoustic impedance measurement capability which is valuable in detecting transition signatures.

Only one transducer is attached to an acoustic sample. Difference between excitation signal and received signal is detected by sensitive electronics.

Instrumentation

  • MATEC 310 transmitter and 625 receiver
  • Homemade spectrometer. (Y. Lee’s group)
